Shoulder Pain Relief in Charleston, Sc
When Shoulder Pain Doesn’t Make Sense — I Start Looking Everywhere Else.
Most people come in after trying everything: stretching, PT, cortisone, adjustments, massage guns, ice, heat — you name it.
It helps for a bit… until it doesn’t.
That’s because the shoulder is rarely the real problem. It’s just the place yelling the loudest.
The real issue is often buried somewhere else — in your neck, ribs, diaphragm, or even a tiny cutaneous nerve that’s been compressed for months and no one ever thought to check.
That’s where I come in.
I Don’t Treat Symptoms — I Solve Puzzles
My job isn’t to make your pain quieter; it’s to figure out why it started in the first place.
Think of me as the House MD of pain and performance — I don’t stop where the pain is; I keep digging until the pattern makes sense.
Your body is one continuous web — fascia, nerves, muscles, and joints all talking to each other. When one part jams, the rest starts compensating. That’s why shoulder pain might actually come from your jaw, your breathing mechanics, or even how your feet hit the ground.
Once you see the whole picture, the shoulder usually fixes itself.
A Story I’ll Never Forget
One of my favorite cases was Andre Bauer, the former Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina.
He came in one day, in excruciating pain — he couldn’t lift his arm, couldn’t sleep, couldn’t even wash himself without wincing. Ten out of ten pain. Three different orthopedic surgeons had told him the same thing: You need surgery.
He didn’t have his X-rays or MRIs with him, just desperation in his eyes.
So, I did what I always do — I worked with what I could feel, what his body was showing me. We started freeing up the fascia, decompressing nerves, and getting the tissue to glide again. Within a week, he was down to a three out of ten.
Then he brought in his MRI — a full supraspinatus tear, one of the rotator cuff muscles that most surgeons consider non-recoverable.
I told him, “Andre, there’s no way that’s coming back. You need surgery.”
He looked at me and said, “No chance. I’m feeling better every day. I’m doing push-ups again.”
He later turned down another surgeon’s offer to implant stem cells because he didn’t want to spend six to eight weeks in a sling.
To this day, Andre doesn’t have a supraspinatus muscle — yet he lives, trains, and moves completely pain-free.
Because we didn’t just chase the pain. We found why his shoulder failed in the first place, fixed the chain reaction, and rebuilt his shoulder to stay bulletproof.
How I Work: Whole-Body Detective Work
During a session, I track everything — how your skin glides, how you breathe, how your tissues react under my hands.
I’m not guessing; I’m testing and observing in real time.
I look for:
- Nerve entrapments that block communication between muscle and brain
- Fascial tension that’s twisting joints out of position
- Cutaneous nerve adhesions — those tiny skin-level restrictions that create pain patterns no MRI will ever find
Once I free those, your shoulder starts moving the way it was designed to again — without force, without endless visits, and usually with results you can feel instantly.
The Tools I Use: Hands, Brain, and Regeneration Technology
My sessions always start hands-on — precise Active Release and fascial decompression to find the “why.”
But sometimes, when I find chronic degeneration or scarred tissue that’s been dormant for years, I take it deeper.
That’s where SoftWave Therapy comes in.
SoftWave uses acoustic waves to awaken dormant stem cells, improve circulation, and trigger the body’s repair system.
It’s not another gadget — it’s how we rebuild tissue that’s been stuck in a cycle of inflammation for years.
Think of it as upgrading from “resetting the system” to “rebuilding the hardware.”
I combine SoftWave with my manual work when you need regeneration, not just release.
